Knee ligament injuries
Knee ligament injuries are among the most common injuries. This occurs at a time when the knee rotates and the knee is over-angled by external forces. They often occur with an internal lateral (internal colleteral ligament) and internal meniscus rupture. This is called an unhappy triad.
The treatment of the anterior cruciate ligament tear is done with the help of the material called autograft taken from another part of the body. If the internal lateral ligament rupture is seen alone, treatment is expected by fixing the knee with plaster or movable knee brace.
